Voluntary churn

Voluntary churn is the deliberate kind: the customer clicks cancel or lets the subscription lapse by choice. The reasons are usually a subset of price, value, fit, and timing.

Because the intent is explicit, voluntary churn is where a cancel flow earns its keep. A short survey plus a relevant offer (a discount, a pause, or a downgrade) can save a meaningful share of customers who were about to leave.

churnguardian pairs payment recovery with a hosted cancel flow that asks why the customer is leaving and offers a reason-matched retention offer.
